The O.G. Blog Post

I’m going to do something super CRINGE… super “retro.”  If/when my kids find this, they may be disgusted and stop reading after the first 30 seconds, because that’s their gen’s M.O.

I’m going to bring back my ORIGINAL blog.  Ya know… I don’t think it’s a thing.  I don’t know that it will ever be a thing, but I want a writing outlet & a way to decompress.  So many blogs now have become obsolete because of AI, so not sure blogs are even much of a source of revenue anymore.  Disney calls it taking the classics out of the VAULT. Do you hear the click of the combo spinning?! But more on a heart level, there’s something to be said about not allowing myself to hide behind some of my feelings or be ashamed of my circumstances.  God gave us a story to tell and this life to do together.

So, I think this is what it’s going to look… I’m setting myself expectations (very LOW expectations) and prompts so it’s more of a weekly praise report AND brain dump.

  • TIMELINE DOTS (What would make it as a DOT on this year’s timeline)

  • HOLY SPIRIT MOMENTS (Truth Bombs the Holy Spirit’s been dropping my quiet time!)

  • SHOPPING CART (Stuff I got this week & if I liked it or not)

  • BEST/WORST PHOTOS (Post the best & worst photos of the week)

  • TOP RECIPES (What I made this week and if people like it)

  • FINAL BRAIN DUMP (Stuff I need to get out of my head)

I think I’ve been missing out on the documenting of life.  I found one of my blogs from 13 years ago..Man! I was so snarky…but my heart was full.  I remember those moments like they were yesterday because I READ them again.  So, this could be a flop.  OR this could be heart changing… won’t know ‘til I try.

Let’s post them on Mondays.  Yea. Sounds good.  And if you want to fill out the prompts for yourself (if there’s actually someone that enjoys reading this), post them in the comments.  Remember that whole, “doing life together” thing?  Let’s.

Until Monday… linz (& my forever sidekick, Jo)
